...1 to 2 inch per hour Snowfall Rates for the Morning Commute...

At 415 AM, bands of moderate to locally heavy snow have developed
from the northern Adirondacks, east-northeastward into the
Champlain Valley and across north-central Vermont. These bands
will produce 1 to 2 inch per hour snowfall rates through 9 AM,
resulting in extremely hazardous road conditions and near-zero
visibility at times. Snowfall rates will taper off during the mid
to late morning from west to east, with improving travel
conditions expected across the North Country by early afternoon.

Precautionary/Preparedness Actions...

Conditions can deteriorate rapidly in winter weather situations.
Be prepared for snow covered roads and periods of near-zero
visibility. Avoid unnecessary travel this morning. If you must
travel, slow down and allow plenty of extra time.
