1927 - Burlington's highest June wind in recent times: 32 mph from
the south.
1983 - Hailstorm with stones one inch in diameter interrupted hot
air balloon event at Quechee; some balloons forced down;
several people injured when struck by hailstones; about
1/4" of snow fell near Sharon and Hartford, enough to
make snowballs.
