1850 - A thunderstorm at Newbury with deep snow on the ground; several buildings were struck by lightning.
1984 - Very deep snowstorm in mid-March set all-time 24-hour record at Peru where 37" was measured on 14th; at Rochester, 30", at Cavendish, 24", at Rutland, 23"; at Chelsea, Manchester, and Union Village, 22".
2017 - Pi Day Storm. Start of 2 day heavy snowstorm. Second heaviest March storm at Burlington. West of the Green Mountains, 2-3 feet; east 1-2 feet.
