The Sebectec software that controls the camera takes multiple exposures when the ambient light is low, and "adds" these exposures together to create a final picture. Currently, twenty 30-second exposures are stacked together to create each image at night. It takes a while to process each picture before adding it to the stack, thus you'll see gaps in the star trails on clear nights. |
