...A snow squall will impact portions of southern Lamoille, western
Orange, southwestern Caledonia, central Addison, southeastern
Chittenden, northeastern Rutland, northwestern Windsor and Washington
Counties through 230 PM EST
...
At 143 PM EST, A snow squall was reported along a line extending from
near Cambridge to near Duxbury to near Middlebury. Movement was
southeast at 25 mph.
HAZARD...Winds 35 mph or greater, and visibility less than a half
mile.
SOURCE...Multiple reports.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and will blow
around unsecured objects. Low visibility will pose a hazard
to motorists.
Locations impacted include...
Barre, Middlebury, Montpelier, Morrisville, Cornwall, Calais,
Braintree Hill, Weybridge, Cambridge, Orange, Salisbury, Waterbury
Village, Websterville, Lincoln, Chittenden, New Haven, Worcester,
Middlesex, Granville, and Marshfield.
This includes Interstate 89 between mile markers 23 and 74.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Rapid visibility reduction and potentially icy roads are likely to
produce hazardous driving conditions. Travel is not advised during
this snow squall. If you are traveling and encounter adverse winter
driving conditions, reduce speed and make sure headlights are on to
increase the visibility of your vehicle to those around you.
Conditions can deteriorate rapidly in winter weather situations. Be
prepared for snow or ice covered roads. Slow down and allow extra
time when traveling.
